Options, Volatility and Pricing

Found the book really interesting and loved the concepts of how volatility, the greeks affect an option's price, but couldn't really find a way how I can use these techniques of options trading without working at one of the prop firms or financial institutions.
I actually started reading this book because I jumped into a course on Time Series Analysis with Financial Applications- offered by my university for final year students- in my sophomore year itself. The professor mentioned clearly to me as I begged for an xemption from the prerequisites- "You need to be reading and solving a textbook a week if you want to really be able to understand everything" and I readily agreed.
The course-work ended up being a bit lighter than that, and I had so much fun learning about what actually goes on in exchanges, clearinghouses and your room when you place a trade- and how and when you should place it.
